Ariel founded KomBrewCha together with Barry Nalebuff, co-founder of Honest Tea after randomly meeting each other on a trek in southwest China. Realizing that they shared the same entrepreneurial values and the love of making wholesome and delicious food and drink, they set out to create KomBrewCha. KomBrewCha is alcoholic kombucha beer crafted from tea. It’s low in calories, great tasting, and naturally contains only 2% alcohol – their motto is Get Tickled, Not Pickled. KomBrewCha is based in Brooklyn and launched in NYC only a few weeks ago. It’s already carried in Whole Foods, Fairway, other supermarkets, bars, and restaurants throughout the city.
Before brewing KomBrewCha, Ariel founded a wholesale organic hummus business in the foodie town of Portland, Maine. Unable to find any good-tasting hummus like the kind he grew up with in Israel, he decided to leave his job as an analyst at Goldman Sachs to pursue his passion and launch a hummus business. Ariel graduated from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel.
