Steven Dean is a partner at Prehype, a venture and innovation firm that incubates new digital companies on behalf of the world’s finest corporations and VCs. Working in product development most of his career, Steven has designed and built new ventures for some of the most innovative consumer health and wellness brands.
Steven is an adjunct professor at NYU’s graduate Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP). His courses address how behavior change, technology and design are used to shape how we make changes at the individual, societal and organizational levels. He is also the founder of the NY chapter of Quantified Self.
Steven graduated from Baylor University with a BS in Mathematics and received a Master of Fine Arts from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). He has taught courses on service design, digital media and innovation at Parsons and RISD and is a frequent speaker at design schools and industry forums on topics of behavior change, quantified self, innovation and design.
